SC: Direct Recruits’ Seniority Begins From Initial Appointment, Not Completion of Probation - (13 Mar 2026)

Supreme Court held that the seniority of directly recruited Assistant Engineers in the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board is to be counted from their initial appointment date, including training, and not from the start of probation after training completion.
