Del. HC: Director Not Individually Liable for Asset Transfer Without Consideration under S.276 IT Act - (13 Oct 2025)

DIRECT TAXATION

Delhi High Court held that a corporate director cannot be prosecuted individually for transferring a company asset to a relative, such as a daughter-in-law, without consideration, as mere involvement in the transfer does not attract personal liability under Section 276 of the Income Tax Act.
