SC: Centre Recommended to Frame Comprehensive Sentencing Policy - (21 May 2024)

CIVIL

Supreme Court has recommended the Central Government to consider introducing a comprehensive policy, by way of getting an appropriate report from a duly constituted Sentencing Commission. The Court further requested the Centre to respond to the suggestion made within a period of six months.
