Del HC: Accused’s Mobile Having Photos of Osama Bin Laden Not Enough to Label Him as ISIS Member - (07 May 2024)

CRIMINAL

Del. HC while granting bail to a person accused under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 because his mobile contained pictures of ‘Osama Bin Laden’ and ‘ISIS Flags’, has observed that any curious mind can access and even download such content. That act by itself appears to be no crime.
