SC: Preventive Detention Will Be Vitiated by Unexplained Delay in Passing Order - (03 Oct 2022)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court has held that unreasonable and unexplained delay in passing the order of detention from the date of the proposal can vitiate the detention order, and there should be live and proximate link between the grounds of detention and the purpose of detention.
