CESTAT: No Service Tax Leviable on Toll Collection - (27 May 2022)

SERVICE TAX

Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal, Mumbai has ruled that amount collected by a toll collector during toll-collection activity will not attract service tax since such activity does not constitute a service provided by a commission agent.
