Commercial

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 48 of the Coffee Act, 1942 (7 of 1942) the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Coffee Board (Cadre and Recruitment) Rules, 2014, namely: -

1. Short title and commencement.--

(1) These rules may be called the Coffee Board (Cadre and Recruitment), Amendment, Rules, 2021.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Coffee Board (Cadre and Recruitment) Rules, 2014, in the Schedule, under the heading "(ii) "Scientific" Posts," against serial number 1, relating to the post of "Director of Research", in column (11), for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely: -

"(i) An Officer of the rank of Joint Secretary to the Government of India or equivalent nominated by the Department of Commerce;

(ii) Secretary, Coffee Board; and

(iii) three external subject experts in the field of Agricultural Sciences".
