ITAT, Kolkata Quashes Re-Assessment Proceedings Against Price Waterhouse & Co. - (13 Feb 2020)

DIRECT TAXATION

Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT), Kolkata has quashed the re-assessment proceedings against Price Waterhouse & Co. and held that to reopen the assessment by the Assessing Officers there must be a ‘reason to believe’ that the income chargeable to tax has escaped assessment.
