ITAT Delhi: Money Spent on Scholarships for Students is Revenue Expenditure - (14 Aug 2019)

DIRECT TAXATION

Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) Delhi has ruled that the sum of money paid by Senior Advocate Harish Salve towards scholarships of students at Oxford University is to be treated as revenue expenditure for the purposes of Section 37(1) of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
