SC: Solatium Under 2013 Act Has to be Calculated on Market Value Plus Value of Assets Attached Land - (19 Jul 2019)

LAND ACQUISITION

Supreme Court has observed that solatium as contemplated under Section 30(1) of Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013/2013 Act has to be calculated only on the market value plus the value of the assets attached to the land.
