Japan's Mitsubishi Pharma Corporation Loses Patent Bid over Diabetes Drug “Teneligliptin” - (14 Dec 2015)

Kolkata Patent Office on an opposition filed by domestic drug firm Lupin, refused the patent application filed by Japan's Mitsubishi Pharma Corporation claiming monopoly rights on a new diabetes drug, teneligliptin, on grounds that it was "obvious, and lacking inventive step".
