Delhi HC Quashes Service Tax Proceeding as Pre-Notice Consultation Mandatory for Demand above Rs. 50L - (10 May 2019)

SERVICE TAX

Delhi High Court, while annulling the Service Tax proceedings, held that since the demand is above Rs. 50 lakhs, a pre-notice consultation was mandatory as per the Master Circular issued by the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC).
