CIC Slaps Max Penalty for Denying Information on Illegal Constructions Near Taj Mahal - (06 Jun 2017)

Central Information Commissioner has imposed maximum penalty of Rs. 25,000 on two officials of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) for failing to provide information about illegal constructions in prohibited area around Taj Mahal.
