SC: Accused’s Custody Duration Not Court’s Concern In Serious Offences - (27 Apr 2017)

Supreme Court, while holding that bail cannot be granted on sole ground that accused was in custody for a long time, has said that when seriousness of offence is high, the mere fact that he was in jail for however long time should not be the concern of the Courts.
