Supreme Court Upholds Bihar Notification Authorizing Officers Below DySP Rank to Probe SC/ST Offences - (19 Apr 2017)

SC has upheld a notification issued by Bihar Government authorizing all officers of rank of police inspector, sub-inspector of police and assistant sub-inspector of police to investigate cases filed under Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Act, 1989, within the State of Bihar.
