Mental Healthcare Act, 2016: Suicide Attempt by Mentally Ill People Not Punishable - (10 Apr 2017)

President Pranab Mukherjee has given his assent to Mental Healthcare Act, 2016 that decriminalizes attempts to commit suicide by a mentally ill person.
