SC: SEBI Circulars Cannot be Challenged in SAT - (04 Apr 2017)

SC has ruled that any action taken by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in its administrative & legislative capacity cannot be appealed at the Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) as SAT has jurisdiction only over orders & directions passed by SEBI in quasi-judicial capacity.
