SC Directs SIT Probe Into Alleged Role of Two Former Karnataka CMs in Mining Case - (30 Mar 2017)

Supreme Court has asked Karnataka Police SIT to probe alleged role of two former Chief Ministers N Dharam Singh and H D Kumaraswamy and bureaucrats in de-reservation of 11,797 square kilometres of forest in Bellary district, leading to large-scale illegal iron ore mining.
