Supreme Court Says ‘No’ to Intra Court Appeal in Criminal Matters - (22 Mar 2017)

Supreme Court has held that an appeal to Division Bench of High Court is not maintainable against an order or judgment passed by Single Judge in a criminal matter, irrespective of whether order has been passed under Article 226 of Constitution or under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code.
