Supreme Court: ‘Can’t Allow Attempt to ‘Throttle’ Freedom of Press, Media’ - (14 Mar 2017)

Supreme Court, while stating that it would not allow any attempt to “smother” and “throttle” freedom of media, has dismissed a PIL demanding an investigation into alleged kickbacks received by Indian journalists to write in favour of multi-crore AgustaWestland VVIP chopper deal.
