Supreme Court Sets Aside Provisions of Karnataka Reservation Law on Promotion - (13 Feb 2017)

Supreme Court has said that in order to provide reservation in promotions, States must first determine whether criteria of ‘inadequacy of representation’, ‘backwardness’ and ‘overall efficiency’ are fulfilled.
