Madras HC Dismisses Plea Seeking Proportionate Quota to SC/ST Members in Local Bodies - (05 Jan 2017)

Madras High Court has dismissed pleas seeking proportionate quota to members belonging to SC and ST community in local bodies in State saying that there was no mention in Constitution about providing reservation in rural posts like vice-president and vice-chairman.
