Supreme Court Directs Centre to Frame Model Rules For Consumer Courts - (22 Nov 2016)

Supreme Court, while emphasizing that “a systemic overhaul of entire infrastructure is necessary if Consumer Protection Act, 1986, is not to become a dead letter”, has directed Centre to frame model rules prescribing objective norms for administration of Consumer Courts.
