SC Asks Navjot Singh Sidhu to Face Trial in 2009 Lok Sabha Election Case - (27 Oct 2016)

Supreme Court has Politician Navjot Singh Sidhu to face trial in an Election Petition accusing him of excessive spending on newspaper advertisements and taking help from a Government servant for his election from Amritsar Lok Sabha constituency in 2009 as a BJP candidate.
