Madras HC to Police: Register FIRs Irrespective of Jurisdiction - (10 Oct 2016)

Madras HC, while directing State police to “learn a lesson” from reported murder of a woman from Tirunelveli due to non registration of complaint of abduction lodged by her father in September last, has stressed need for registering First Information Reports (FIR) irrespective of jurisdiction.
