SC Asks Government: Can Salt be Pure? - (31 Aug 2016)

SC has asked Centre, “Is salt a flavouring agent or a food product? “, to clarify the query that arose in a plea filed by an ITC Hotels nominee, challenging its prosecution by the Punjab Government for allegedly misbranding its product.
