Allahabad High Court Rejects Challenge to 18% GST on Online Legal Database Services - (27 Oct 2026)

Allahabad High Court dismissed a PIL challenging 18% GST on online legal databases like SCC Online and Manupatra. It declined to examine the validity of SAC 998431, citing delay and questioning the petitioner’s “sudden awareness” of a tax rate in force since 2017.
