Madras High Court: FIR Registration Does Not Decide Guilt; Prior Hearing of Accused Not Required - (27 Oct 2026)

CRIMINAL

Madras High Court dismissed KN Nehru’s review plea against an FIR registration order, holding that directing registration of a case does not determine guilt. It said potential accused need not be heard beforehand and can present their case if the investigation reaches them.
