Bombay High Court Awards Rs. 5 Lakh for Illegal Arrest, Orders Action Against Police, Magistrate - (23 Oct 2026)

CRIMINAL

Bombay High Court awarded Rs. 5 lakh compensation to a man illegally arrested and detained by Mumbai Police for nearly 26 days. It also directed action against officers who labelled him an extortionist and against the Magistrate who remanded him to police and judicial custody.
