Bombay High Court Sets Aside FIR Against Pune College Staff Over Murud Beach Tragedy - (23 Oct 2026)

CRIMINAL

Bombay High Court quashed the 2016 FIR against Pune college trustees, principal and teachers over the drowning of 14 students at Murud beach, holding them not vicariously liable under Section 304A IPC. It also directed Maharashtra to frame a comprehensive beach safety policy.
