Supreme Court: Lower Fresh Bids Alone Cannot Justify Cancellation of an Auction - (16 Oct 2026)

Supreme Court set aside cancellation of two Madhya Pradesh sand-mining auctions, holding that lower fresh bids alone cannot justify rejection. Though the government may reject bids, the power must be exercised fairly and on objective grounds.
