Supreme Court: Past Ad Hoc Service Counts for Pension, Not Seniority Against Direct Recruits - (13 Oct 2026)

SERVICE

Supreme Court held that ad hoc or temporary service may count for pension but not seniority. Seniority must be reckoned from the date of regular confirmation in service, and such appointees cannot claim parity with direct recruits based on their initial temporary appointment.
