Bombay High Court Directs Release of Protesters Held over Anti-ECI Agitations - (13 Oct 2026)

CRIMINAL

Bombay High Court at Goa ordered the immediate release of seven persons detained during anti-ECI protests in Panaji, noting that their detention appeared illegal in the absence of prohibitory orders under Section 163 BNSS. The order came in a special Sunday habeas corpus hearing.
