J&K&L HC Quashes 65-Year-Old's Detention, says Cattle Smuggling isn't Public Disorder - (09 Oct 2026)

J&K and Ladakh High Court ruled that alleged bovine smuggling and animal cruelty, without evidence of communal tension or public disorder, do not establish a threat to public order, quashing the 65-year-old’s detention under the Public Safety Act, 1978
