Calcutta High Court: Contempt Proceedings Cannot Be Used to Challenge Orders or Attack Judges - (06 Oct 2026)

CONTEMPT OF COURT

Calcutta High Court held that contempt proceedings cannot be used to challenge a judicial order or make personal allegations against the Judge. An aggrieved litigant must instead pursue the appropriate appellate, revisional or other legal remedy.
