Bombay HC: WhatsApp Circulation of Objectionable Photos Can Attract SC/ST Act - (01 Oct 2026)

CRIMINAL

Bombay High Court held that circulating objectionable photos or videos of a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe person on platforms like WhatsApp may fall within “public view” and attract provisions of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
