Gujarat HC: CIC Cannot Order Suo Motu Disclosure of PM Modi’s Degree under RTI Act - (30 Sep 2026)

RIGHT TO INFORMATION

Gujarat High Court held that the CIC lacked authority to suo motu direct disclosure of PM Narendra Modi’s degree at the RTI second-appeal stage. It also observed that his educational qualifications had no bearing on his election to a constitutional post.
