Delhi HC: Rape Victim's Hearing Necessary before Bail is Granted to Accused - (29 Sep 2026)

CRIMINAL

Delhi High Court held that a victim has the right to participate at every stage of criminal proceedings, including bail hearings. It set aside bail granted in a rape case without notice to the prosecutrix and remanded the plea for fresh consideration after giving her an opportunity to be heard.
