SC: Absence of Train Ticket No Ground to Deny Compensation for Passenger’s Death - (28 Sep 2026)

CIVIL

Supreme Court held that a missing train ticket alone cannot defeat a compensation claim for a passenger’s death. It restored Rs. 8 lakh awarded by the Railway Claims Tribunal to the victim’s parents and directed the Railways to pay within 30 days.
