Patna HC: Routine FIR Involvement alone cannot Deny Arms Licence without Safety Threat - (28 Sep 2026)

CRIMINAL

Patna High Court held that mere registration of a routine FIR cannot justify denial of an arms licence without material showing misuse of arms, violence or threat to public safety. The ruling came on a builder’s plea challenging rejection of his licence application.
