Delhi HC: Bail Grant or Cancellation Cannot Depend on Monetary Settlement With Complainant - (24 Sep 2026)

CRIMINAL

Delhi High Court held that bail cannot depend on fulfilling a monetary settlement with the complainant, as custody cannot enforce financial bargains. It set aside orders granting and subsequently cancelling bail in a bank fraud case over non-payment of agreed dues.
