Allahabad HC: Divorce on Desertion Ground Does Not Bar Wife’s Maintenance Claim U/S 125 CrPC - (23 Sep 2026)

Allahabad High Court held that a divorced woman may claim maintenance under Section 125 CrPC even if divorce was granted on the ground of desertion, provided she has not remarried and cannot maintain herself. The ruling came while allowing her revision against the Family Court’s order.
