SC: Preliminary Issue Cannot Be Tried Separately Once Trial on All Issues Has Begun - (22 Sep 2026)

CIVIL

Supreme Court set aside orders dismissing a suit as time-barred on a preliminary issue after evidence had begun. It restored the suit, holding that once trial on all issues has commenced, one issue cannot be separately decided as preliminary, and directed the trial to resume.
