Allahabad HC: Vigilance Probe Against IAS Officer Needs Affidavit and Committee Approval - (22 Sep 2026)

SERVICE

Allahabad High Court held that an unaffidavited complaint against a Group-A officer cannot form the basis of a vigilance inquiry without State Vigilance Committee approval. It quashed the probe against an IAS officer after the complainant admitted the complaint was made under a mistaken impression.
