J&K&L HC: Mere Terrorist Gang Membership Not Enough for S.20 UAPA Without Proof of Terror Act - (22 Sep 2026)

CRIMINAL

J&K&L High Court held that mere membership of a terrorist gang or organisation is insufficient to invoke Section 20 UAPA. The prosecution must produce material showing the accused’s involvement in a “terrorist act” as defined under Section 15 of the Act.
