Calcutta HC Orders Return of 3-Year-Old to Adoptive Couple, he wasn't Abandoned - (18 Sep 2026)

Calcutta High Court directed the CWC to return a three-year-old child to the couple caring for him since infancy, holding that he was neither “orphan” nor “abandoned” and did not qualify as a child in need of care and protection under the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015.
