Calcutta HC: Passenger’s Negligence While Alighting from Moving Train Does Not Bar Compensation - (18 Sep 2026)

Calcutta High Court held that a passenger’s negligence while boarding or de-boarding a train does not amount to “self-inflicted injury” under Section 124A of the Railways Act and cannot by itself be a ground to deny compensation.
