SC: Mere Long Possession Can't Establish Adverse Possession; Hostile Intent is Required - (11 Sep 2026)

PROPERTY

SC held that long, uninterrupted possession alone does not establish adverse possession unless claimant proves when possession became hostile to the true owner. It also ruled that revenue entry showing rent-free possession for religious purposes does not itself prove completed religious dedication.
