SC Restores SEBI Fraud Proceedings against Vedanta over 2014 Share Buyback - (10 Sep 2026)

CAPITAL MARKET

Supreme Court revived SEBI’s fraud case against Vedanta over its 2014 share buyback, ruling that release of the escrow amount did not bar a separate fraud probe. It remanded the matter to SAT for a fresh decision on the fraud issue.
