Madras High Court: Environmental, PCB Clearances Not Needed for Medical Essentiality Certificate - (09 Sep 2026)

ENVIRONMENT

Madras High Court held that environmental clearance and Pollution Control Board approval are not mandatory for obtaining an Essentiality Certificate, through which the State assesses whether establishing a medical college in a particular area is necessary.
